Symbiosis Institute of Operations Management (SIOM) is the largest independent educational institute in Maharashtra. The institute was founded in the year 2005 by Dr. S.B. Mujumdar with an aim to provide world-class education in the field of operations management. The college is considered to be a hub of academic excellence with its award-winning curriculum and academic rigor.

SIOM institute is accredited by NAAC with ‘A' Grade and is approved by AICTE as well. The institute has won over 20 awards and recognition in the past few years. In a survey conducted by Outlook, the institute is ranked among the top 50 business schools in India. Apart from that, the "Pride of Maharashtra Award" is awarded to SIOM Nasik by MIEDA under the category of the best institute of the year.

SIOM Nashik offers three management courses such as MBA Operations Management, PGDOM, and PGCOM.  In addition to the academic programmes, the institute encourages and supports the students in obtaining certifications such as CIPM, Six-Sigma and SAP. SIOM is one of the very few colleges in the country that operate SAP-UA (SAP University Alliance) programmes. Symbiosis Institute of Operations Management also maintains a very strong corporate engagement through various research, consulting and training programs for industry leaders.

For admission in the courses offered at SIOM, the eligible candidates should have a qualifying bachelor's degree and a valid entrance exam score followed by GE, PI & WAT.  The curriculum of SIOM is updated on a regular basis with the consent of corporate mentors. Various certification programs are also conducted by the college. Apart from the academic activities, SIOM Nasik inspires its students to participate in non-academic activities such as meditation, art of living, yoga, and workout.

SIOM training and placement cell assist students in their life-long career development and placement. The department helps in organizing summer training, industrial visits, and PDP programs to enhance the skill set of students. There is an entrepreneurship cell in the college which promotes entrepreneurship among students.  SIOM Placement Companies include all prominent names which have been recruiting over 95% of the MBA batches over the years.

The students at SIOM manage multiple student clubs and committees such as Students Consulting, Social Responsibility Club, IT Committee, Placement Committee, Alumni Committee etc. Symbiosis Institute of Operations Management infrastructure is excellent and vibrant.
